The Broker — The Short Version
Tab Trade went live in March 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set once it is live.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Here is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
